Euphorbia Characias

Euphorbia characias ssp wulfenii (Mediterranean Spurge) is a stunning upright shrub which flowers with bright chartreuse flowers in clumps. It is a species of flowering plant in the family Euphorbiaceae which is typical of Mediterranean vegetation. It is a compact evergreen shrub that grows to aprox 1.2mt tall and wide.

The narrow blue/green leaves are spirally arranged. The overall look of the plant is very eye-catching especially when it flowers from early Spring through to early Summer. It’s a great accent or focal point plant and is also great for borders and rock and gravel gardens. It loves full sun, is drought tolerant and resistant to most pests and diseases.
