Woolly-Calyxed Eremophila

Eremophila Lachnocalyx

Eremophila lachnocalyx is more commonly known as Woolly-calyxed Eremophila and is endemic to Western Australia.  It is a flowering plant in the figwort family Scrophulariaceae and is an erect, spreading shrub with dense hairy, silver-grey leaves – its most distinctive feature is its densely woolly or velvet-like sepals. It produces vibrant purple flowers and is a small-medium size shrub.

This is a great plant for drier areas, needs good drainage and a sunny spot.  Prune lightly after flowering and feed with a good native fertiliser.
