Lemon-Flowered Gum

Eucalyptus Woodwardia

Eucalyptus woodwardia is commonly known as lemon-flowered gum and also Woodward’s blackbutt.  It is a small tree or mallee that is endemic to Western Australia.

The Lemon-flowered gum is a great evergreen, drought-tolerant tree with weeping smoky grey/green foliage to plant in any garden.  It has white flower buds and then flowers in brilliant cascades.  Its blooms are a very zingy yellow, almost like a fluro lime colour and they bloom throughout Spring.

This non-allergenic accent tree loves the sun and attracts bees, butterflies and birds. The form of this species grows at irregular angles and looks very interesting.  It is perfect as a silhouette against a large wall and can cast interesting shadows.
