The smart and sophisticated outdoor entertaining area of this contemporary home was a collaborative project shared with interior design firm, Alexandra Kidd Design. We love working with AKD team and this job was a complete renovation inside and out.
The expansive outdoor area was split into two zones with troughs and clusters of pots delineating the different ‘rooms’. There’s a dining with Tosca dining table and chairs, and lounge room, furnished with a luxurious Tosca daybed for basking in the sun. The glamorous furniture is all Cosh Living. The furnishings are generously proportioned for comfort and the Grid Collection lounge is upholstered in tonal fabrics with accent cushions in shades of terracotta to elevate the whole look and bring it all together with understated elegance.
We used repetition of plants and pots throughout the two spaces to create a restful, harmonious atmosphere. The garden is north facing so the plants selected had to be tough to withstand the elements. Manicured Cloud trees and plants with an architectural quality were chosen to complement the sculptural art pieces on display. The mirror adds to the level of polished sophistication, while adding a sense of depth and bounces light around the garden.
