Chocolate Cosmos
Delicious Flowers
Cosmos Atrosanguineus flowers are a deep reddish brown colour, the petals have a velvety look to them and they are commonly called Chocolate Cosmos. And guess what? They get their name not only because they look chocolatey, but they also smell like chocolate. Yes!! It’s true.
This perennial plant comes from Mexico and it thrives in a warm climate. They are a great flower to style with and they look simple and humble yet make quite a strong style statement with that unique colour, sitting atop long wirey stems. They look great growing in the garden but really stand out when grown in containers or pluck the flowers and place into simple vessels, even just one or two of the flowers will pack a pretty punch.
